Hamburg: still mainly a football city
International senior football tournament Hamburg Germany: Hamburg City Cup
Participating countries:
Belgium France Germany Netherlands

There’s a major chance that you immediately think of HSV when you think of Hamburg. Or of the attractive Reeperbahn in the nightlife district St. Pauli. You may also know the centre with its huge choice of shops, restaurants and bars. But football lovers mainly think of Hamburg as a football city. So it’s the perfect location for an international senior football tournament. The Hamburg City Cup takes place at the pleasant sports park of MSV in the green edge of the city of Hamburg. A tournament with a modest number of teams, but from six different countries. The barbecue and beer on tap on the terrace complete the picture.

Sports facilities

This international seniors football tournament will take place at the Mümmelmannsberg sports park in the east of Hamburg. This sports park, which belongs to the organiser MSV Hamburg, has 3 pitches, a club house and a separate building for changing rooms. During the tournament, a 'tournament centre' will be set up with a barbecue, bar and music. Only 500 metres from the sports park the metro can take you to the centre of Hamburg.

Hamburg

Hamburg (1,750,000 inhabitants) is the second city of Germany. In spite of the large number of residents, the centre is very compact and easy to walk through. In addition, with the Hamburg card you travel in all directions with the S- and U-bahn every 10 minutes.

Hamburger SV Stadium Tour

HSV is one of the most famous football clubs in the German Bundesliga. Of course, any true football fan will want to visit the stadium for a guided tour. The stadium is approximately 23 kilometres from the tournament venue and around 10 kilometres from the city centre.
