UEFA Respect

The UEFA Respect campaign

The UEFA Respect campaign promotes the crucial idea of respect across the game: respect for opposing players, coaches and officials, respect for referees and for supporters. Respect is an essential value of football as a sport open to all. The Respect campaign was launched by the UEFA at the UEFA EURO 2008 tournament in Austria and Switzerland, with the former UEFA President Michel Platini stating: “As the governing body of European football, UEFA has the responsibility to protect the game and its supporters.”

Euro-Sportring Foundation was established in the 1960s with the mission to eliminate boundaries, and to play the game in order to contribute to the social cohesion of Europe. The UEFA Respect campaign suits perfectly the mission of the Euro-Sportring Foundation, and we are therefore proud to partner up with UEFA in their Respect campaign. The Respect campaign is incorporated in all international tournaments to strengthen a respectful, international competition.
