What age groups can participate?

How can I register for a tournament?

If you are interested in one of our tournaments, you can request an offer online for the preferred tournament or you can contact your local representative to see what options meet your needs and desires. Please click here for the contact details.

What does it cost to participate in an international youth football tournament

The cost depends on the tournament, accommodation type, and package selected. In most cases, accommodation, meals, and tournament participation are included. Ask for an online offer or contact one of our representatives for a detailed price quote.

What is included in the price?

Participation at an international youth tournament is always taking place over 2 or more days. Therefore, participation of non-local teams is only possible in combination with an accommodation arrangement.

Most tournament packages include:

  • Tournament participation
  • Accommodation (school/sportshall, youth accommodation, hotel, hostel, or holiday resort)
  • Meals (from Bed & Breakfast until full board)
  • Match scheduling and organization
  • Local support by a Euro-Sportring representative

Transportation to and at the tournament is optional and at some locations possible to add to your package. Details may vary per tournament.

How many matches does each team play?

Each team plays multiple matches depending on the number of participating teams and the tournament format. At a standard 2-days tournament, teams play at least 4 to 6 matches.

What is the level of competition at the tournaments?

Euro-Sportring tournaments are open to teams of all levels and from all countries. Because it is difficult to accurately assess the level of teams from different countries in advance, the first day of the tournament can be a surprise in terms of competition strength.

After the first day, teams are re-grouped based on their results. Thanks to this smart competition format, teams usually play against opponents of a similar level on the second day, ensuring fair and exciting matches for everyone.

Which teams can participate in a Euro-Sportring tournament?

Euro-Sportring tournaments are open to all teams affiliated with a recognized local football association, regardless of their level.

Football

Football tournaments are available for a wide range of age categories, typically from Under 9 (U9) up to Under 19 (U19). In addition, senior and veteran teams can also participate in selected tournaments. This ensures that teams of all ages and experience levels can find a suitable competition.

Handball

Handball tournaments are organized for teams from Under 11 (U11) up to senior level. This allows both youth and adult teams to take part in an international sporting experience.

Can we use dispensation players at international tournaments?

Teams can use dispensation players at Euro-Sportring tournaments, provided certain conditions are met.

If a player has been granted dispensation by his/her national or regional football association, this can also be accepted at our tournaments. However, the dispensation must be officially approved by your own association and submitted to the tournament organization in advance.

All dispensation requests must be arranged through your local Euro-Sportring representative and require approval from the tournament committee. If the dispensation is granted, the player must bring the original official document (proof from the association) to the tournament.

Should I inform the association if I participate in a tournament of Euro-Sportring?

Teams taking part in football tournaments must have the permission from their national association and/or league

Can I register individually or do I need to register with a full team?

Registration is only possible with a complete team. Individual registrations are not accepted.

Each team appoints one main contact person who represents the entire team and/or club. This person is responsible for the registration process and all communication with Euro-Sportring.

All tournament-related information, such as quotations, booking confirmations, and practical details, will be sent directly to this contact person.

After registration, each team receives access to a dedicated online environment called My Euro-Sportring. In this platform, teams can manage their participation, arrange all practical matters internally, and maintain a clear overview of bookings and tournament details.

What is the minimum team size and staff requirements

To ensure a smooth and safe tournament experience, each team must have a sufficient number of players and adult supervisors throughout the event.

All teams are required to have:

  • At least 2 substitute players, and
  • At least 2 adult team officials (coaches or supervisors)

This results in the following minimum number of participants per team:

Football

  • 9-a-side: minimum 13 participants (11 players + 2 officials)
  • 8-a-side: minimum 12 participants (10 players + 2 officials)
  • 7-a-side: minimum 11 participants (9 players + 2 officials)

Handball

  • Minimum of 2 substitute players
  • Minimum of 2 adult team officials
  • Total team size adjusted accordingly per playing format
