International youth football tournament Haderslev Denmark: Haderslev Cup
Participating countries:
Denmark Germany Netherlands Poland

You don't often find a 24-hectare sports park with 12 pitches, 27 dressing rooms, 2 beautiful sports halls with stands, a restaurant, a clubhouse and a stadium for 10,000 spectators. This complex is the home base of Haderslev FK and the professionals of SonderjyskE who play at the highest level in the Danish Superliga. Each year at Pentecost , the Haderslev Cup is held at this unique complex. Because in previous years the tournament was already fully booked in October, neighbouring club Vojens Bold & Idrætsklub have now been enlisted to help. They also have a fantastic sports park with 10 pitches. The organisers are aiming for a broad international field of participants with a weekend of exciting competition for each team, from the kick-off to the final whistle.

Haderslev Football Club was established in 1906 and has 70 youth and senior teams that participate in the competition every week. The men's First Team plays in the Danish Super League and the women's First Team in the second division. Vojens Bold & Idrætsklub was founded in 1923 and has 30 competition teams.

The Haderslev FK home base is in the Haderslev Idraets Centre, a 24-hectare sports park with 12 pitches, 2 beautiful sports halls with grandstands, a restaurant, a clubhouse and a stadium for 10,000 spectators. The Vojens Bold & Idrætsklub sports grounds are situated in a forest and has 10 pitches, including a modest stand at the main pitch and a big clubhouse with a canteen and terrace.

Haderslev (22,000 inhabitants) is located on the south-eastern coast of Denmark, 50 kilometres from the German border on the highway that runs all the way from Germany to Frederikshavn in the north. The old city on the fjord has a charming historic centre with nice car-free shopping streets, and here and there a small square with a café terrace. The sports park is a 10-minute walk from the old town; just follow the Louisevej and there you are. The second location, Vojens (8,000 inhabitants), is a 15-minute drive away, through the rolling landscape of Haderslev.

Water Park in Vojens Hallerne

Around 12 km from Haderslev, you'll find Vojens Hallerne indoor swimming pool: a modern pool with numerous features, including a slide, spa, sauna and a steam bath. You can also enjoy a whizz round the indoor skating hall.
