Peschiera del Garda ((10,000 inhabitants) is located in the southernmost tip of Lake Garda. In the last century Peschiera was part of the most imposing defence system in Italy, called Quadrilatero. This water rich town with a historical centre within the fortress, is not for nothing named a jewel of architecture, art and culture. In 2017, the Venetian walls of the fortress of Peschiera del Garda were added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Peschiera del Garda is therefore well worth a visit.
