A unique experience

Mönchengladbach is a name well known to football fans. The city’s pride and joy is Borussia Mönchengladbach, which has long been one of the leading teams in the Bundesliga. The Mönchengladbach Cup takes place near the Borussia-Park stadium. However, the cup is not played at the 60,000-capacity stadium; instead, participants enjoy the cheerful atmosphere of a cosy sports park. The tournament is organised by ASV Süchtelen, SV Reydt 08 and 1.FC Mönchengladbach.

Thing to do in and around Mönchengladbach

Mönchengladbach

Mönchengladbach is located around 20 kilometres to the west of Düsseldorf. The city has a pleasant, pedestrian-friendly centre and a number of historical nooks and crannies around the cathedral, near the water tower and in the old town. The main attraction is, of course, Stadion im Borussia-Park, the home of Borussia Mönchengladbach. Although the tournament is not held there, the teams get to play at a couple of fantastic sites.

Borussia Stadium

The Borussia Park in Mönchengladbach is home to the German team Borussia Mönchengladbach. For those who wish to see behind the scenes of the BORUSSIA PARK, the stadium now offers guided tours. The tours last 90 minutes and show you the spots that fans normally don't get to see. The guides also recount amusing anecdotes and provide information on everything you want to know about the stadium. (please inquire about a reservation).

Schlossbad Niederrhein

A large indoor and outdoor swimming pool with several individual pools, slides and a giant white-water slide. Fun for all the family, even if the sun isn't shining!
