Football fun and a city trip in one weekend
Combine sports and sightseeing at the Copenhagen Cup! This tournament takes place in the charming suburb of Hvidovre, just outside Copenhagen, and is hosted by three local clubs: Hvidovre IF, BK Friheden, and Rosenhøj Boldklub. All matches are played at one central location: the modern Avedøre Stadium, featuring no fewer than 16 pitches.
And while you're there… Copenhagen is a must-see city! Visit the famous Tivoli amusement park, snap a selfie with the Little Mermaid, or go shopping along the vibrant Strøget street. From Hvidovre, it takes just 20 minutes to reach the heart of the Danish capital – perfect for those who love to mix a tournament with a bit of adventure.

Sports facilities
The games will take place at Avedøre Stadion in Hvidovre, located at Byvej 72, 2650 Hvidovre. The venue offers excellent facilities, including 10 full-size pitches (3 with artificial turf), 4 medium-sized pitches, and 2 small-sided pitches, all on grass. With 16 dressing rooms available, teams will be well accommodated. During the tournament, a tent will be set up offering food, drinks, and more, creating a great atmosphere for players and supporters alike.

The Copenhagen Cup is hosted by 3 organisers: Hvidovre IF, BK Friheden, and Rosenhøj Boldklub. Hvidovre is home to several well-established football clubs with deep roots in the community:

Hvidovre IF (HIF) is the largest club in the municipality and celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2025. With around 1,200 members, the club’s men’s first team competes in the Danish First Division.

Boldklubben Friheden has a proud 62-year history in the local area. Though smaller in size, the club has a strong focus on youth football and provides a supportive environment for player development, staying true to its motto: football is for all.

Rosenhøj Boldklub, founded in 1966, is a grassroots club with a long tradition of welcoming children and young people from all parts of society. The club focuses on inclusive participation and community spirit.
