Thing to do in and around Karlsfeld

Munich

Folklore and modernity go hand in hand in Munich. Munich is the city of the historic Marienplatz and its beautifully decorated buildings. It is the city of the Oktoberfest with happy people in ‘lederhosen’ and ‘dirndl’ dresses. Car enthusiasts will no doubt think of BMW, but the main attraction is, of course, FC Bayern Munich and the Allianz Arena! The atmospheric centre is full of old Bavarian architecture, lively shopping streets and numerous terraces that are pleasantly filled during stretches of fine weather. Munich is definitely worth a visit!

Dachau & Karlsfeld

Dachau and Karlsfeld are located near Munich and form an ideal base for handball teams looking to combine sports with culture and relaxation. Dachau is especially known for its historical landmarks such as the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site, as well as its charming old town with cozy cafés and restaurants. Karlsfeld offers peace and greenery, perfect for unwinding after the matches. Dachau is older than Munich and is home to the largest artists’ colony in Bavaria. The close proximity to Munich makes the area even more attractive. After the matches, players can easily travel into the city to explore its cultural highlights or visit the Allianz Arena, the famous stadium of top club FC Bayern Munich.
