By train it takes just 20 minutes to reach the centre of Amsterdam. But there's no need to take the train if you want to shop, as Almere has one of the largest shopping centres in the Netherlands.

Amsterdam

Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands. You'll never get tired of it. The city is known for its historic canals, picturesque and often ancient buildings, the many museums, shopping streets, the many markets, the fascinating nightlife. The Anne Frank House, the Kalverstraat, the Dam, the Leidseplain, the Vondelpark - they're all fantastic sights. Take a tour of the canals and you'll see almost all of the 'must-see's' from the water. More information about Amsterdam can be found here.
