Hasselt (70,000 residents) is the capital of the Belgian province of Limburg. The city has a pleasant urban centre which is hundreds of years old. There is a wide range of hotels and restaurants on Grote Markt square, where visitors and residents can sit on the terrace for a drink and a bite to eat. There are several popular shopping streets in and around the market square. One special aspect of the city is that the centre is pedestrianised. The sports park is located in green surroundings four kilometres from the city centre. The organisers of the Belgium Cup have two fantastic trump cards up their sleeve: the lovely centre of Hasselt, the provincial capital of Belgian Limburg, and two huge, glorious sports parks. This combination works brilliantly: since it began in 2000, the Belgium Cup has always been packed to the rafters. Organisers Zonhoven United & KFC Helson provide tons of football in laid-back surroundings, just a few kilometres from the centre of Hasselt. Insiders know that the central area around the 'Grote Markt' (the Grand Square) has a lot of offer. Belgium Cup: welcoming and sociable.
The Belgium Cup is organised by Zonhoven United & KFC Helson. Zonhoven United is a merger club of Zonhoven VV and Melo Sport and comprises 30 youth teams. Zonhoven United & KFC Helson have plenty of enthusiastic volunteers to make sure the tournament runs smoothly.
The Belgium Cup event is held in Zonhoven and Helchteren, ten to fifteen kilometres from the centre of Hasselt. The Zonhoven United sports grounds offer eight pitches, a spacious canteen/clubhouse and a cosy terrace. KFC Helson's sports complex has 4 pitches , a large grandstand and a cosy clubhouse.

Think you’ll have any energy left after all those matches? If so, why not get in on the action at Action Park Kiewit? You and your team will have three hours to tackle four activities. You can choose from, among other things, a rope track, water trail, climbing wall and BMX slope. We’re prepared to bet that you’ll be tired after all that! There’s also the municipal swimming pool for those who prefer to take it a bit easier. There are two large pools, a water slide and whirlpools; so, you can choose to go wild or just relax. And the best thing is: both are located within a very short distance of the sports fields!
