International youth football tournament in Bregenz, Austria: Bodensee-Pokal
Participating countries:
Austria Czech Republic France Germany Italy Netherlands Switzerland

The Bodensee Pokal takes place in Bregenz, located on the border between Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Bregenz, the capital of the Austrian state of Voralberg, has a lively historical centre and even a "local mountain", the Pfänder, with an approximately 1000 metre high peak. The organisers, SC Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz and Viktoria 62, have incredible joint sports facilities that are more or less situated right on the shores of Lake Constance - a fantastic location for an international tournament. This explains the huge interest in the tournament that is clarified by the number of participants: 100 teams from eight countries.

For this tournament the club will receive support from the community of Bregenz and the local football association. SC Schwarz-Weiss Bregenz joins forces with Viktoria Bregenz and SC Fussach to organise the Bodensee Pokal.

The Bodensee Pokal takes place at a few locations on the shores of Lake Constance in Bregenz. The sports grounds here merge into one another. And they feature 2-5 pitches with excellent facilities, including the Casino stadium, where the opening ceremony also takes place.

Bregenz

Bregenz (27,500 inhabitants) is the capital of the Austrian federal state of Vorarlberg and is located near the borders of Germany and Switzerland.  The city lies between Lake Constance and the Alps. The colourful old town is atmospheric and tasteful, with historical buildings and vibrant shopping streets with cosy terraces. The tournament is held just outside the old town near the bank of Lake Constance.

Activities

Lake Constance:

Lake Constance is a real tourist attraction. It's a wonderful place to relax on one of the beaches by the lake, the third largest in Europe. A boat trip to the medieval town of Lindau or the garden island of Mainau is highly recommended. Of course, you can also swim, snorkel, go canoeing or hire a pedal boat.

Pfander:

From Pfander mountain you have a breathtaking beautiful view over Bregenz, Lake Constance and the surrounding Alps. The top of the mountain is accessible by cable car from the town - this alone is worth the effort. At the top of the mountain you'll also find a game park, a bird of prey show and a panorama restaurant.
