Playing football in a region with more than ten ski resorts. Football pitches at the foot of the Alps, with mountain views on one side and the waters of Lake Constance on the other. A market square like you see in travel guides, surrounded by romantic buildings. It could hardly be more picturesque. The location? Dornbirn. In Dornbirn, you can also play football – at FC Dornbirn 1913 and at SC Graf Hatlerdorf. Together, they will be holding the Vorarlberg Cup on their manicured sports pitches. Kick-off is in 2022 and they are planning to turn it into a tradition.

FC Dornbirn club was founded in 1913 and for many seasons participated on a professional level in Austria. White and red people play their matches at home in the "Birkenwiese" stadium. In the 2018/19 season, they became Regional League West champions, moving up to the second league and returning to the second level in Austria.

Playing in black and yellow, SC Graf Hatlerdorf was founded in 1969 and now has more than 10 teams participating at different levels. 

Vorarlberg Pokal will be played at the Birkenwiese Stadium, the home of FC Dornbirn 1913, and at the sports facilities of SC Graf Hatlerdorf. The Birkenwiese sports complex offers two 11-a-side pitches, one artificial turf pitch and two smaller pitches for the youngest age categories. The facilities of SC Graf Hatlerdorf are located 4 km (10 minutes by car) from Dornbirn. The complex also has twor 11--a-side pitches, one artificial turf pitch and a smaller pitch for the youngest age categories. Both clubs have a number of changing rooms and club houses in a nice location

Dornbirn

Dornbirn (45,000 inhabitants) is located at the foot of the Alps, 9 kilometres from Lake Constance and Bregenz and a few kilometres from the Swiss border. Dornbirn is the biggest town in the province of Vorarlberg. The town has a friendly centre with pedestrianised shopping streets and a pretty market square surrounded by authentic buildings, mostly in the famous romantic style.

The sport halls are situated at various locations in and around Dornbirn up to 1.7  kilometres from the sport complex. Also the centre of the charming city of Dornbirn is only a couple of minutes’ drive from the sport halls.

DJH Friedrichshafen is situated in a beautiful spot on the shore of Lake Constance, 30 kilometres from Bregenz. The accommodation is a sturdy building with a largely renovated interior on a large (1-hectare) plot. In addition to the indoor facilities, the lodge also features a nice outdoor terrace with kiosk, a large playground with a football field (city format) and table tennis.
