The Rheintal Trophy is organised by SC Borussia Lindenthal-Hohenlind. The club was established in 1928 and has more than 20 teams, as well as two cheerleader teams!

Sport facillity

The tournament takes place at the SC Borussia Lindenthal-Hohenlind sports park. The sports park has 3 pitches and a modern club house. The sports park is situated next to the stadium of the 1. FC Köln. It takes 35 minutes to reach the city centre by public transport.

The city of Cologne, with 1 million residents, is located about 50 kilometres from the Dutch border. The city was built in a crescent around the famous Cologne Cathedral, a powerful Gothic cathedral that can be seen everywhere in Cologne. The main shopping streets are in a wide strip to the south of the central station. In Cologne's 'old town' you'll find many cosy bars and clubs.

Kölner Breweries

When in Cologne you simply cannot miss out on the local Kölsch beer. There are various breweries in the city. Visitors have the opportunity to visit a number of them on the Kölner Brauhaus Wanderweg (the Cologne Brewery Walk). This is a lovely route through the city and, of course, you can sample the wonderful Kölsch beer.

RheinEnergie Stadium

The RheinEnergie Stadium with capacity for 50,000 spectators is home to 1.  FC Köln. The stadium was completely renovated between 2002 and 2004. Numerous games were played here during the 2006 World Cup. Curious? Then take a tour.
