When you think of Stuttgart, most people think of Mercedes and Porsche. Two icons of the automotive world, real top brands that many car enthusiasts dream of. But Stuttgart is also home to football, for example VfB Stuttgart. The Bundesliga club plays in the grand Mercedes Benz-Arena - one of the stadiums of the Euro 2024. But in 2023 the Stuttgart Trophy will first take place in the green district of Vaihingen. The tournament will take place on a beautiful sports park with 5 pitches and extensive facilities. The Stuttgart Trophy is organised by SV Vaihingen & TSV Rohr. With around 2,500 members, Sportverein Vaihingen 1889 e.V. is one of the largest sports clubs in Stuttgart. Founded in 1889 as a gymnastics club, SVV now comprises 12 departments for several sports. Co-organiser TSV Rohr was founded in 1927 and also has several sports departments, of which football is the largest. Both clubs have dozens of teams, from young to old, in competition.

Although Stuttgart is a massive city with over 600,000 inhabitants, the city centre is easy to explore. You can take the tram or metro from Vaihingen and be in the centre in 15 minutes. The major attractions are more or less on a one kilometre line with the lively Schloßplatz on one side and the no less lively "Biergarten" in the city park on the other. In between are shopping streets, a market hall full of colourful shops and a centuries-old castle, and the lively Karlsplatz with resaturants, bars and flea market.

Mercedes-Benz Arena

The Mercedes-Benz Arena is one of the most modern football stadiums in Europe. Not only football fans and VfB Stuttgart supporters get their money's worth on the fan tour. The home ground of the "boys from Cannstatt" offers an impressive backdrop even without a Bundesliga match and is a place full of history. Here you will experience all facets of the arena on the stadium tour and enter exclusive areas. Participants of the Stuttgart Trophy can order reduced tickets.
