The friendly town of Ketsch (12,700 inhabitants) is situated on the banks of the Rhine between Speyer (7 km) and Heidelberg (10 km), two top tourist attractions in the Rhine-Neckar region. The participants in the Rhein-Neckar Pokal stay in various accommodations within the Speyer-Heidelberg-Mannheim triangle.


Fifteen minutes' drive from Ketsch is the medieval university town of Heidelberg. Visit the historic centre with its intimate market square and small shopping streets. And don't miss out on the view from the 13th century Heidelberg castle, the 1th century Old Bridge and the student prison, which dates back to the 16th century.


SPVGG 06 Ketsch is a club with approximately 750 members and 20 youth teams for both boys and girls. The club was founded in 1906 and their best known former member is Ulrich Stielike, who started in his youthcareer at SPVGG 06 Ketsch, but later played for Borussia Mönchengladbach and Real Madrid. In 1980 he became European Champion with the national team of Germany.

SPVGG 06 Ketsch has a large sports complex. The club has 4 large well-kept fields, the main field is surrounded by a running track. In addition, there are a number of smaller fields for the youngest age categories (7v7). The club also has a cozy "Stube" as a clubhouse and severel dressing rooms.The location is even more special because it is close to the Formula 1 circuit of Hockenheim.
