Trophée du Soleil

International youth football tournament: Avignon is a jewel in the crown of France: the beautiful Provence region. This historical town is chocolate-box perfect, with its picturesque location, terraces, cosy ‘brasseries’, the impressive 'Palais des Papes' and, of course, its world famous Pont d’Avignon, the Roman bridge. Cross one of the other bridges, and you get to the village of Les Angles, where you can participate in the Trophée du Soleil. The participants play for the ‘Cup of the Sun'. Each year, your host, the active club EMAF-Les Angles, receives compliments and positive reactions with respect to this tournament, which makes for a sporty, entertaining and beautiful Easter Holiday!

Facilities:

The Trophée du Soleil will take place in Les Angles, situated just north west of Avignon, close to the banks of the river Rhône at two venues, within walking distance of each other. The main venue is the pretty sports park Stade Roger Pagès that belongs to the EMAF Les Angles. There are facilities for tennis, rugby, football (grass pitches) and the main stadium with stands where all the finals will take place. Here you will find enough changing rooms and showers and of course a bar/buffet. The second venue, the Complex of ASPTT Les Angles, is 500 meteres away and offers two grass pitches, changing rooms and a bar/buffet as well.

Trophies:

In each category teams that finish in 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th place will receive a trophy.

Other information:

For participants having breakfast and/or dinner at a central location, the tournament dining hall is located in Les Angles at the Forum (sporthall and activity center) or at the Cantine Pasteur (school canteen) in case of high attendance. On Saturday and Sunday, it is possible to have lunch at the sports locations (French fries, sausages, hamburger, meat, sandwiches, various drinks) for a reasonable price. The lunch can be ordered in the morning before 10.30 so that queuing can be avoided at lunch time.
