Playing a game of football with a view over beautiful Annecy Lake with the mighty mountains in the background – that alone will leave a lasting impression with the participants. However, the tournament itself and the shadow programme are also highly appreciated by the participating teams. The tournament programme starts with the team leaders reception and the official opening ceremony in the sports hall, where representatives of all teams will parade in the order of their countries. On Saturday and Sunday the programme dictates that all teams will step onto the turf at least five times. The qualifiers are played on Saturday, and the ranking matches and finals are planned on Sunday. Immediately after the final, the winners can lift the cup when the prizes are handed out in an informal session. However, later on the same day, the official award ceremony makes sure that everyone knows exactly who the winners are! For this purpose everyone gathers for a spectacular and entertaining goodbye party in the sports hall that also hosted the opening ceremony.

As well as participation at the tournament, Euro-Sportring also arranges the accommodation for the participants. Participants can usually choose between school accommodation, group accommodation (youth accommodation and bungalows) and hotels. Annecy-le-Vieux: Annecy-le-Vieux is in south east France, around 18 miles under Geneva, on the northernmost tip of Annecy lake. It is home to 60,000 people in two town neighbourhoods: Annecy and Annecy-le-Vieux, which is built on the hillside. As the name suggests, Annecy-le-Vieux is the older of the two and stems from the Gallo Roman age. The centre Annecy, located at approximately 1 mile of the main sport venue of the tournament, is a maze of narrow alleyways which are mainly accessible on foot. The old Annecy, in the area around the town hall, features bustling streetfull of promenades and pavement cafes. There is a lovely Sunday morning market there.

TOUR LAC D'ANNECY: Tour Lac d'Annecy (25 miles ). The lake of Annecy (10 miles long) is considered as one of the prettiest lakes in the Alps. You can make various boat trips (approx. FRF. 30 per person). If you want to explore the area from an other perspective, you can make a tour along the shores. CHATEAU DE MOUTTROTTIER: Château de Mouttrottier (6 miles). One of the most impressing castles in the Savoie. The military building accommodates a nice museum.
