International youth football tournament: Participants from many countries, a solid organisation and an excellent playing schedule are the basis for the Brabant Cup, one of Euro-Sportring’s favourites. ‘It evolves around friendship, atmosphere and sports’, according to the local newspaper. The Easter 2010 tournament, the 24th, promises again to have a good programme, lots of football on excellent pitches together with plenty of additional activities. The tournament is staged near Den Bosch, a town with a very old and beautiful centre. A little further on is the Efteling, the largest amusement park in The Netherlands. The sporting programme for the youngest players will be on Sunday only with a modified schedule. This gives them time to visit the Efteling on Saturday.

The Brabant Cup takes place in 2 small neighbouring villages just 10 km to the south-west of Den Bosch. The villages belong to the same municipality. The main venue is in Berlicum. Host club BMC has 4 pitches at sportpark de Brand. The facilities of co-organiser RKSV Avesteyn in Dinther (6 km from Berlicum) include 3 grass pitches, training area, modern clubhous with terrace. All tournament locations have canteen facilities and changing rooms. During the event extra refreshment stalls and grill stands ar provided

The tournament dining hall, where dinners are served, is located in the two school accomodations of this tournament.

Within the Netherlands the 'Brabanders' are known for their hospitality. The atmosphere is always friendly and relaxed. No wonder that everyone feels welcome and that doors of the clubhouses are always opened. The tournament starts on Saturday with the first preliminaries. At noon there will be a break for the welcome ceremony. After the ceremony the prelimary matches continue at both locations. On Saturday evening the whole wave-pool complex at the swimming centre in Oss is reserved excusively for all Brabant Cup participants. For the non-swimmers the city centre of Den Bosch is a lively alternative. The tournament continues on Sunday morning with the classification matches and the finals will take place in the afternoon at each location. Two decades of Brabant Cup will be closed with the prize-giving ceremony on the main pitch in Berlicum. In the evening everyone is welcome at the clubhouses to round-off this fine weekend in the usual Brabant style.
