Stay
As well as participation at the tournament, Euro-Sportring also arranges the accommodation for the participants. Participants can usually choose between school accommodation, group accommodation (youth accommodation and bungalows) and hotels. The accommodation we offer has been selected with care and must comply to a number of conditions, such as: are they within easy reach of the sports park, do they provide value for money, are they suitable for sports groups, are they safe and is the management flexible.

The tournament marquee is not only used for activities, the evening meals (depending on the arrangement) will also be served in this marquee during the weekend. The marquee is situated next to the sportpark on the big parking place.

Touristic information
Valkenswaard
Valkenswaard is modern town, particularly popular among tourists looking for the peace and quiet of the countryside. This is a rural area, rich in woodlands. Yet there's plenty to do both in the daytime and evenings, as this town to the south of Eindhoven has a very attractive centre. During the tournament in the Ascension weekend, the traditional Valkenswaard Fair is organised, with live music, a flea market, pavement café's and all kinds of market stalls

Eindhoven (7 Miles)
Eindhoven is the fifth largest city in the Netherlands. The centre offers a wide variety of shops and many entertainment facilities. Most notable is the impressive 'Heuvel Galerie', which has a diversity of shops, boutiques, pubs and terraces. Discos, theatres and cinemas are situated in and around the centre. Eindhoven is also well known for its many spacious suburbs and, of course, for its high-tech industry. As far as sport is concerned Eindhoven has a lot to offer. It has often be named 'Sports Town of the Year'. The city has three concentrations of sports centres. One of them is situated in the northern part of the city with, among other facilities, a sports hall, a squash centre, an indoor ski centre and a climbing centre.

De Efteling (about 32 miles from Valkenswaard)
De Efteling, is the most famous theme park in the Netherlands where many fairy-tales come to life. Note: only suitable as a full day excursion. Tickets can be ordered through Euro-Sportring. Please for more information ask you Euro-Sportring contactperson.

Safari parc Beekse Bergen
On safari in the Beekse Bergen in Hilvarenbeek (25 km from Valkenswaard): you'll come eye to eye with monkeys, flamingos, bears, lions and many more animals. The safari options are by bus, boat or on foot. The Beekse Bergen is one of Europe's largest safari parks.

Program introduction
The organiser, SV Valkenswaard, is used to providing a well balanced programme with, apart from the matches, enough time to experience the attractions of the region. The tournament celebrated in 2010 the 10th edition. The arrival on Thursday leads you to the clubhouse where organisers are ready to make you feel welcome. In the evening your hosts invite the team leaders for a reception at the club. The participants may then take a dip in the swimming-pool only 100 metres away on the sports park (attention: capacity pf maximum 300 persons) or explore the centre of Valkenswaard. The tournament is officially opened on Friday morning by the mayor of Valkenswaard. The preliminaries and the Penalty Cup competition then starts. In the evening the participants can use any extra energy at the disco in the marquee. If you look for a more relaxed ambiance, you are welcome in the clubhouse next door. Saturday morning is reserved for the remaining preliminaries and the classification matches. At lunchtime the Penalty Cup finals are planned and then the tournament finals take place on the main pitch during the afternoon. The Valkenswaard Trophy weekend ends with the prize-giving ceremony in the tournament tent followed by a pleasant farewell hour (or more!).
