As well as participation at the tournament, Euro-Sportring also arranges the accommodation for the participants. Participants can usually choose between school accommodation, group accommodation (youth accommodation and bungalows) and hotels. The accommodation we offer has been selected with care and must comply to a number of conditions, such as: are they within easy reach of the sports park, do they provide value for money, are they suitable for sports groups, are they safe and is the management flexible.

Dining hall/Lunch
The Dining hall is located in Culture and Event Centre "De Meenthe" in the centre of Steenwijk. During the tournament different kinds of snacks and drinks will be sold in the canteens and at different stands on the sports grounds.

Touristic information
When visiting Giethoorn, you’ll soon discover why this village is nicknamed ‘Venice of the North’. The village is the result of peat cutting. Lakes arose because of the digging of peat ponds and canals were dug for transport. Houses were built on little islands, connected by bridges that are characteristic of Giethoorn. Transport takes place by water in so called ‘punters’. These small boats can be hired so that tourists can get to know Giethoorn from the water.

Sport- en recreatiebad De Waterwijck
Sport- en recreatiebad De Waterwijck, is the largest swimming pool in the region. The subtropical swimming pool offers many attractions like wild water and a 45 metre slide.

Steenwijk (17.000 inhabitants).
Steenwijk is a small town in the province of Overijssel, in the north eastern part of the Netherlands. Originally Steenwijk is an old fortified town with canals and city walls dating back to approximately 1800. The town has city rights since 1250 and today has a regional function. The ‘skyline’ of Steenwijk is dominated by the Sint Clemenstoren. With a height of 87 meters this is the 14th highest church tower in the Netherlands.

Steenwijk is situated in rural surroundings where water and nature are the main ingredients. The wetlands at the national parks De Weerribben, De Wieden and De Olde Maten are rare in Europe. The best way to see this area is from the water. A trip on a boat is a possibility but it is also possible to rent a canoe.

Blokzijl
The town of Blokzijl offers a typically Dutch picture with its stepped-, Dutch and neck-gables around the old port, dating back to the Golden Age. Blokzijl has a protected town view with stately merchant houses at the harbour and the "Grote Kerk" (church) that was built in 1609. Blokzijl is an important tourist destination, especially because of its lively harbour. During the summer months many pleasure crafts sail into the harbour to moor along the quay.

Program introduction
In Steenwijk nothing is left to chance to make sure this fourth edition of the Toren Trophy into a great success. The enthusiastic organisation has put together a programme that not only offers a lot of football, but also some fun activities to do in the evenings. The fun starts on Thursday. After the check-in at the sportscomplex of Olde Veste '54 and dinner, there’ll be a team leaders reception hosted by the city council. Meanwhile the participants can party at the disco in the clubhouse. On Friday the tournament kicks of with an opening ceremony, followed by the preliminaries. After spending all day on the pitches, a swim in the subtropical swimming pool might be just what the competitors need. Disco swimming is available for all categories, although the elder ones might also feel like discovering the town centre of Steenwijk. On Saturday the Toren Trophy continues with the remaining preliminaries and the finals. The tournament is concluded with a festive evening during which the prize-giving ceremony will take place. The winners will be honoured, but no one will go home empty handed. There are medals for all competitors, but also a Fair Play Cup and in each category the Penalty Cup. During the tournament all the flags of the participating clubs will be in top so please bring them along.
