Stay
As well as participation at the tournament, Euro-Sportring also arranges the accommodation for the participants. Participants can usually choose between school accommodation, group accommodation (youth accommodation and bungalows) and hotels. The accommodation we offer has been selected with care and must comply to a number of conditions, such as: are they within easy reach of the sports park, do they provide value for money, are they suitable for sports groups, are they safe and is the management flexible.

During the tournament different kinds of snacks and drinks will be sold at different stands on the sports grounds.

Assistant

An assistant who will accompany your group during its stay is not included, but available at a surcharge.

Touristic information
Istria
Istria is the largest peninsula of the Adriatic Sea and is the most westerly province of Croatia, next door to Italy. Istria has no less than 275 miles of coastline and this makes it a very popular holiday destination, especially among sun worshippers. Pula, Porec and Umag are the main tourist resorts. Istria is lush with lots of unspoilt countryside, lakes and waterfalls, centuries old culture and very hospitable people. However, it's the beautiful crystal clear waters and high sun hour ratings which make Istria a dream destination for so many people.

Porec (12,500 inhabitants)
Located on a lagoon on the west coast of Istrië. The city is surrounded by beautiful green countryside and has a mild Mediterranean climate. The history of Porec goes back a long way: Roman remains can be found at various places. A famous place of interest in Porec is St. Euphrasius Basilica dating back to the 6th Century and internationally known for its beautiful Byzantine mosaics. In 1997, this basilica was added to the world heritage list of UNESCO.

Visit Venice.
An excursion to romantic Venice is easily arranged from Umag. The modern catamaran service will take you there in forty minutes, and there are regular excursions organised each week, taking in all the hot spots of Venice. It's certainly something not to be missed!

Pula (80,000 inhabitants)
Is a 2,500 years old roman city with a lot of historical buildings such as the world famous ARENA where 2.000 years ago roman gladiators met each other in fights to the death. Other interesting testimonies of this period are the Arch of the Sergians and the Augustus Temple. But there is another Pula as well: the modern city with beautiful, enormous hotel complexes on a nice coast, a yachting harbour and other tourist attractions.

Program introduction
For your stay in Istria the organizer has elaborated a programme which leaves the participants enough time to enjoy the many attractions of this touristic center: picturesque town centers of Novigrad and Porec with numerous terraces, restaurants, shops, pubs and the many sports facilities in the surroundings of the hotels and apartments. This gives the participants all the possibilities to spend their free time just the way they prefer. After arrival in Porec, clubs are welcomed by members of the tournament committee and the Euro-Sportring representative. In the evening all team leaders are invited for a reception in hotel Delfin in Porec. On Saturday the tournament starts with the festive welcome ceremony in the stadium of Porec. Majorettes and live music will support it all. Therafter the preliminaries will be played. On Sunday, after the classification matches, the stadium of Porec will be the arena for the finals followed by a festive prize-giving ceremony
